The Beach Pride Center is home to the Long Beach spirit programs- the Cheer Team, Dance Team, Beach Band, Mascot and ASI Commissions. The Center’s purpose is to increase campus spirit and involvement by promoting upcoming events, providing extracurricular activities, as well as offering opportunities for student leadership and personal growth. The Beach Pride Center also offers reward programs for students, coordinates game time activities, and promotes upcoming campus events. All these services enhance the college experience for CSULB students, and promote “Beach Pride” throughout the campus and surrounding community.
In 2001, the Beach Pride Center opened its doors after the passage of the Beach Pride referendum, which provided additional funds from student fees to establish a tradition of excellence in spirit programs and athletics. Housed in the University Student Union, the Beach Pride Center creates and supports programs that keep the student body involved in their University. Being the center of many different activities, the Beach Pride Center holds many resources into helping students become more involved with events on their campus, as well as giving them the tools to make their own events. No matter what year you are at CSULB, the Beach Pride Center is a get great place to come and get involved in the life of the campus. We hold the spirt on campus and we want you to be a part of that!
